Wool Mouse is a handmade mouse toy crafted from 100% natural wool, with a long tail and a soft, compact shape that your cat can easily chase, grab, nibble and carry around. A simple toy, designed around your cat's natural hunting instincts.

Why will your cat love it?

Cats don't need the most high-tech toy in the house. They need something worth hunting.

Small objects that can be pushed with a paw, chased, caught and carried in the mouth are particularly well suited to feline play. Veterinarians also recommend small stuffed mouse-shaped toys because they allow cats to recreate parts of their natural hunting sequence in a safe environment.

The mouse's shape provides a compact body that's easy to grab, while the long tail brings the total length to approximately 35 cm and adds movement when the toy is thrown or dragged.

You can leave it with your cat for independent play or throw it, move it by pulling its tail and turn it into a little prey animal to chase.

And if your cat tends to direct their energy towards hands, feet or objects you'd rather they left alone, offering appropriate toys to chase, pounce on and bite gives them a much more suitable alternative.

Materials and Production

A cat toy is bitten, scratched, dragged around and held in the mouth, which is why the material it's made from matters. Wool Mouse is made from 100% natural wool, with no plastic in the product.

When a plastic toy is repeatedly exposed to teeth and claws, it can release tiny fragments and microplastics that your cat may ingest without you even noticing. With a toy made from 100% wool, you simply remove that source of plastic from something your cat constantly holds between their teeth.

Of course, no toy material is intended to be swallowed. Check the toy's condition regularly and remove it if any parts become loose or could be detached and ingested by your cat.

Each mouse is handmade in Latvia. The wool is worked into a compact structure, and each piece may have slight variations in shape and size. These are the natural result of artisanal production, rather than an industrial process where every object must be perfectly identical to the last.

How to Care for Your Wool Mouse

Wool doesn't need to be washed constantly. If the toy simply collects a little fur or dust, removing it by hand is often enough.

When a more thorough clean is needed, we recommend gentle care:

Washing: Hand wash in lukewarm water, approximately 30°C, using a small amount of mild detergent suitable for wool.

During washing: Gently move the toy through the water without rubbing vigorously, twisting or wringing it.

Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly with water at a similar temperature and press gently to remove excess water.

Reshaping: After washing, gently reshape the mouse with your hands while it's still damp.

Drying: Leave it to air dry completely on a flat surface, away from radiators or other direct heat sources. Avoid tumble drying.

Felted wool regains some of its firmness and structure after washing.
